Year-on-year increase between 2016 Q2 and 2017 Q2 tops 20.1 percent in mobile broadband users.
Number of mobile phone subscribers in Turkey rose 4 percent to 76.6 million in the second quarter of 2017, compared to the same period previous year, state-run communications agency announced.
According to the report released by Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK), there are 10.9 million fixed phone subscribers in Turkey.
“There are 64.3 million total broadband subscribers of which 11.1 million are fixed broadband and 55.3 million are mobile broadband users. Increase rate between 2016 Q2 and 2017 Q2 is 20.1 percent,” the report read.
Total net sales of operators are 45.4 billion Turkish liras (some $13.2 billion) for the year 2016. The sales reached 12.5 billion Turkish liras (some $3.6 billion) in second quarter of 2017.
